Iseum of Bennu Rising

The Iseum of Bennu Rising is my healing Iseum.  It is registered with the Fellowship of Isis.  My goal in founding this Iseum is to help people heal from trauma in their life and reclaim their inner warrior.  My healing approach is eclectic because I don’t believe spirituality exists in a vacuum or that there is one true path.  What that means for you is that my approach to healing is very eclectic and draws material from a variety of spiritual paths, scholarly research, 12 step programs, and practices I’ve learned in my job as an organizational change manager.

My primary goal in developing this material was to help people walk through the dark times we all encounter in life and to assimilate the lessons of loss into their lives.  I developed this material after I walked through my own personal hell that left me shattered.  I knew even as I was descending into the darkness that I had a choice:  I could choose to become bitter and angry and believe myself a victim or I could choose to build a relationship with a higher power, continue to hope, and rebuild my life.  I chose hope.

You may be curious about the title of this Lyceum, Bennu Rising.  The Bennu bird is a creature from Egyptian mythology who, similar to the phoenix, renewed itself after a fiery death.  I believe that recreating ourselves is similar to rising from the ashes of our old life and recreating ourselves as something different and better.  I chose the Bennu bird because it is sacred to the Egyptian goddess Nephthys who is my patron.
